Melpomene met up with Triton on their plane ride to Bermuda. Upon arrival at the resort, much to Triton's chagrin, he discovered that Melpomene had not reserved any accommodations, as Triton, Poseidon and Chelsea had. In exasperation, Triton insisted that Melpomene stay with him in his room, while Chelsea stayed with her father.
Upon getting to the room, Melpomene and Triton's bickering and baiting took an unexpected turn resulting in them sleeping together.
Later during the trip, they recovered the Trident, which was immediately taken into Poseidon's possession.
