Ariadne and Gawain bonded over a comment she made about her work. Ariadne also ordered cookies for her coworkers from Sif, and Gawain promised to meet with Sif the next time he was in Chicago.

Achilles joined the boards, receiving a warm welcome from his fellow Greeks and warriors. Erato was especially pleased, and Achilles offered to lend her his copy of The Iliad, which she agreed, once she felt more comfortable reading Ancient Greek and Latin.

Gawain, meanwhile, returned home to Nebraska, and thanked Ariadne and Nimue for their company during his trip.

Odin decided to run a poll by all the men on the boards, asking which of the women they liked best. Though some were more reluctant than others to admit their preferences, among the revelations, Asclepius named Nimue, Gawain said that he would favor all of the women to whom he had spoken on the boards, Tyr admitted having feelings for Sif, Seth said he was intrigued by Aphrodite, Poseidon named Aphrodite and Medusa, and Apollo named Urania. Odin indicated all the women would suit him, but especially named Aphrodite, Medusa, and the two Muses.

Following Odin's example, Aphrodite posed the same question to the women, as to which of the men they liked best. Only one gave a straight answer: Erato named Achilles without hesitation.

Asclepius, meanwhile, asked Nimue to have tea together again, and they made arrangements to meet.

In contrast to the previous day's polls regarding which people the godlings would most like to be with, Medusa decided to ask who they would be most likely to kill and how. No names of the desired deceased were given, but those who responded tended to indicate nasty forms of death as their preference.

Narcissus joined the community, but did not get a chance to introduce himself prior to the strange occurrence that took place.

Asclepius did meet Nimue for tea, but soon they, like all of the godlings, they soon abruptly found themselves in L'Hôtel Jeu Ancien, staffed by a man named Nigel, where time had no meaning.

Thus began Event One.

Nigel revealed to the godlings that their ancient homelands were now all located somewhere in the United States, and that it was up to them to find them again. Whoever finds their seat of power first, wins. A race to the finish.

Meanwhile, in order to return to the real world, they would have to unlock the way back with the four elements: Fire, Earth, Air, and Water.

Almost immediately, plots and alliances began to form.

The Norse grouped together quickly, with Sif and Tyr immediately pledging their loyalty and beginning their plans under Odin's leadership. For the time, they elected a "wait and see" approach regarding the other pantheons, while vowing to remain vigilant for updates. In the attempt to return home, Sif and Tyr, represent Earth and Air, respectively, sought the assistance of Apollo, while Odin intended to speak to Poseidon.

Among the Greeks, Medusa and Poseidon headed off on their own to discuss the start of their plans to put him in power.

Hades, meanwhile, decided that under no circumstances should his brother be allowed to take the throne. He was too concerned that the mortals not be subject to the rule of a capricious god, and he began speaking to his fellow Greeks in turn, beginning with Asclepius. He asked for the doctor's help in converting others to his cause, and learned some insights from him regarding Apollo and the Muses. Hades also requested an audience with the Arthurians, and Asclepius went to ask for a meeting time.

Hades next spoke with Aphrodite, seeing as she was the best candidate to become queen next. He was able to convince Aphrodite to help keep the peace of the realm, and, much to his surprise, she agreed to marry whoever would take the throne of Olympus, be it Poseidon or Hades.

After speaking with Hades, Aphrodite was approached by Seth for her thoughts on things. The beginnings of an alliance between the Greek and Egyptian pantheons were formed when Aphrodite took Seth to her bed.

Meanwhile, Hades went to speak with Ariadne, who offered her thoughts on strategy, which were to distract the Olympians with the rights of succession and agreed to help keep them off-target as best she could until Hades could determine who would be the best to lead the mortals, be it Greeks or another pantheon. Ariadne also suggested that Hades begin to court Aphrodite formally as his potential future wife.

Ariadne then went to the hotel bar, where she met up with Dionysus and had a chat with him, trying to see if he might be sympathetic to Hades' cause.

During this time, Asclepius had successfully arranged a meeting with the two Arthurians in his room. There, the four of them began discussing strategy, and Asclepius agreed the Celts needed help. He pledged himself to the service of their pantheon, and Gawain made him an honorary, but official, knight of the Round Table, thus sealing an alliance between the Greeks and Celts.

Meanwhile, Erato had gone to speak with Achilles, softening his heart a little as she promised to help him regain his glory however she could. Afterward, she had a reunion with Urania and Apollo.

Hades approached this small group as well, going off the information that Asclepius had given him. He asked that Apollo and Muses act as impartial parties to help maintain peace and order. Apollo was named as second-in-command to whoever would be in charge, and they agreed to do what they could to help.

Afterward, going on Ariadne's advice, Hades again sought out Aphrodite, starting to get to know her. He was a bit startled to catch her only semi-clad after her encounter with Seth, but found himself getting along with her surprisingly well. He formally asked her to dinner at some point in the future, and she agreed.

Shortly afterward, Nigel received notice to send the godlings home, and proceeded to shut off power to the hotel. The godlings gathered in the lobby. Aphrodite, still being only partially dressed after a shower, garnered much admiration from the men in the group, including Odin and Poseidon both--much to Medusa's annoyance.

Apollo, Gawain, Sif and Ariadne unlocked the four elements as Fire, Water, Earth and Air, respectively, and guided their fellows through the portal back home. Medusa, wanting to spite Poseidon for giving his attention to Aphrodite, invited Apollo to come see her in the future as she went through.

Ultimately, everyone returned to the real world safely, and found they had only lost one second of time.

Upon their return, Asclepius confessed to Nimue that his reasons for joining the Celts were not entirely altruistic, and he asked to court her. She agreed.

Poseidon, meanwhile, chastised Medusa not only for leaving the hotel without telling him goodbye first, but also for her flirtation with Apollo. She was unapologetic.
