Digest of September 26, 2011 - October 10, 2011
The morning after the attack on the dorms, Erato woke to find herself a bruised mess, but with no memory of the event. Although very emotional, she declined to press charges, since she could not remember what happened. She remained under the care of Asclepius and Nimue for the next several days in his home, much of it a blur to her as well.
Dionysus simply hit the road, bruised and bloodied in more ways than one, and told no one where he was going.
Hades, his two maenads in tow, rushed to California as soon as he could. He told Persephone about them, and admitted to not knowing whether or not Erato would have any lasting effects from what had happened. While there, he had a medical episode, revealing his condition of blurriness and headaches to Persephone. She insisted on taking care of him, and soon asked if, assuming the circumstances permitted, he would marry her in the sunlight. Hades agreed, and they sealed the agreement with their lovemaking.
On the 26th, Triton took Chelsea with him to pick up some things from his fraternity. It was an awkward car trip, as Chelsea still largely resented her big brother, but he did offer her some insight to Poseidon, even if much of it was cold comfort at best. While there, with Chelsea, he planted the seeds for creating an army for Poseidon.
Chelsea would also later try to contact Hades in an effort to find her mother.
Upon Poseidon's return from Seattle, he set up his maenads-now-nereids with an apartment of their own and gave them positions within his firm so he could keep them close at hand. He also gave Medusa ample reward for her assistance.
Apollo, after leaving Arthur's hotel, spent a great of time hovering over Erato and monitoring her recovery. He also did what he could to tell Achilles he was not to blame for what happened to the little Muse, seeing as the hero entered a serious funk in the aftermath of the attack on the dorms.
Gawain also checked in on Erato, and, once satisfied that she would be all right, spent some time in Washington bonding with Ariadne and discussing strategy with his fellow Arthurians. Upoon returning to Nebraska, he began checking into ways to recover the manuscript containing the Grail secrets from the private collection housing it.
Ariadne refused to speak to Dionysus in the wake of what happened, but other than spending quality time with Gawain, her life soon resumed normalcy.
On September 29th, Odin accompanied a very nervous Aphrodite to her doctor's appointment. Although circumstances were a bit awkward, he did his best to comfort and assure her. As it turned out, there was nothing to the scare--there was no pregnancy, to their combined mixture relief and disappointment. Odin and Aphrodite agreed that they would remain friends, but their time together as lovers was at an end.
In California, Sif continued to stay with Tyr, seeing as Odin had not given her the all-clear to return to Chicago.
On October 10th, Poseidon paid another visit to his new nereids, seeing that they had settled in nicely. Only Wendy was home at the time, and she mentioned that she'd been catching up on the details of the godling race. She felt confident victory would be Poseidon's. Poseidon, still a bit brooding and confused over his feelings for Medusa, took advantage of a perfectly-willing Wendy.
For the other godlings, life otherwise continued much as usual.
