King Arthur Pendragon joined the godlings, to a warm reception--although he himself was wearied and confused by suddenly being thrust into their number. Of course, Nimue and Gawain were overjoyed to see him, Asclepius was quick to explain the situation, and Ariadne introduced herself and her connection to the Celts. Several other godlings also greeted him. The Celts and their Greek friends, meanwhile, wasted little time in trying to arrange for a meeting in Seattle. When Gawain and Ariadne discussed it, Gawain also spoke more of his encounter with Wendy, and Ariadne suggested that it could well be maenads at work.
In New York, Chelsea reached out to Medusa, not getting any answers from Poseidon. She told the gorgon about having sensed something strange, dark and heavy. Medusa was inclined to blame Hades, but had no proof of it. They both promised to be careful.
Apollo contacted Hades, insisting there was a problem with the strange, dark, sinister heaviness. He claimed it was pursuing his Muses and was to blame for Poseidon's attack on Medusa. The sun god suggested possibly putting Chelsea under Triton's care to keep her safe, and recommended the possibility of having Aphrodite moved from New York so that she wouldn't be at risk, suggesting also that he was having difficulty reaching the love goddess and was worried that something was wrong. Admitting to his liaison with Medusa, Apollo also said he would not stand by if she were in danger. Hades was reluctant to agree to moving any of the women, but Apollo promised he would offer shelter to any of them. Meanwhile, the lord of the dead promised to try to reach out to Aphrodite to check on her.
For the other godlings, it was a day much as always.
